History
Mike Orchard, President / CEO of Beacon International Group, began his law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff in 1979. His full-time employment provided a wide range of investigatory experience with both misdemeanors and felonies. After serving more than 9 years as a Deputy Sheriff he began his Private Investigation career in 1991 and continued with Phenix Investigations, Inc., also located in Indianapolis. Since 1991 Mr. Orchard has successfully completed hundreds of complex and sensitive investigations for dozens of Fortune 500 companies.
Beacon Investigative Solutions is the culmination of nearly 30 years of both Civil, Criminal, Corporate, and Private Investigations experience, creating a national investigation firm with field offices in many major cities in numerous states.
Mike started his Private Investigation career as the founder of Alpha Investigations in Indianapolis in 1991 as well as consulting with several PI firms in Indiana as the law enforcement liaison to the Indiana State Police on large scale undercover drug investigations for the private sector. Additionally, Mike concluded a 18 year aviation career with AirborneExpress(DHL) in 2008. His last assignment was flying Internationally as a Captain on the B767 based in Osaka, Japan.
All of Beacon’s Lead Investigators have extensive prior experience in Local, State, or Federal Law Enforcement positions followed by extensive experience in investigative work within Corporate, Insurance, or Litigation cases. Many of our investigators are former FBI Special Agents that now work for us in the private sector, so you can trust that our private investigators are the most experienced you will find.
